WASHINGTON, DC - Taylor Donohue was named the women's lacrosse team's Most Valuable Player at George Washington University's annual Senior Honors Luncheon on the GW campus Monday.
Donohue had a breakout season for the Colonials, leading the team in goals (30), assists (27) and points (57) to earn Second Team All-Atlantic 10 honors and help the team qualify for the A-10 Championship for the third time in the past five years.
Donohue's 27 assists set a new single-season school record, while her 57 points were the fifth-most in one season for the eighth-year program. She became the seventh Colonial to reach 100 career points and was the first GW player to receive two A-10 Player of the Week awards in the same season.
