WASHINGTON, DC -- George Washington University softball head coach Kim Staehle has announced that GW will host a softball prospect camp on Nov. 7-8 at the Mount Vernon Softball Field.
The camp is open to the first 75 high school players graduating in 2010, 2011 or 2012, and any junior college athletes looking to play at the next level. The cost to attend the camp is $150, with $100 as a non-refundable deposit to reserve a position in the camp.
The camp will start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break. Participants are welcome to bring coolers with drinks and snacks as well as a lunch, along with softball gear.
The two-day event will not only allow players the chance to showcase their skills but also sharpen their knowledge on the fundamentals of softball. Coaches from Georgetown University, University of Maryland, Mount St. Mary's University, George Mason University and the University of Virginia will be in attendance.
