WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington softball doubleheader against Howard, originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 29 at 3:00 pm at the Mount Vernon Softball Complex, has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. The non-conference twinbill will not be made up.
Next up for the Colonials is a two-day single game outing against Atlantic 10 rival, Fordham Friday-Saturday, May 2-3. GW will need to win both games against the Rams to have a shot at qualifying for the six-team A-10 Tournament in Charlotte, NC. First pitch for the Friday matchup with Fordham is 4:00 pm, while Saturday's game will start at 12:00 pm.
Saturday, May 3, is also Senior Day, and will be the last time which five GW seniors will grace the field at the Mount Vernon Softball Complex. Those seniors are catcher Colleen Kegler, pitcher/first baseman Katie Miller, Outfielder/Catcher Jackie Yaniga, infielder Caroline Howe, and outfielder Chrysanthi Halkiotis.
