Softball Twinbills Against UMBC and Towson Postponed

BALTIMORE, MD - Due to inclement weather in the Baltimore area, the softball doubleheader against UMBC, originally scheduled for today at 1:00 pm has been postponed. It has been announced that the two teams will make up today's twinbill Tuesday, March 4, in a 1:00 pm start.
Additionally, it was announced that the Colonials home opener against Towson, Wednesday, Feb. 27, has also been postponed due to weather conditions. The doubleheader against the Tigers will be made up Wednesday, April 2, in a 3:00 pm start.
The 2008 Colonial Classic scheduled on Sat-Sun, March 1 and 2 is now slated to be the home opener for GW. The two-day annual tournament features four teams, including GW, and Canisius, a 2007 NCAA Tournament qualifier. Below is the schedule for the Colonial Classic.
Saturday, March 1
9:00 am: Army vs. UMBC
11:00 am GW vs. Canisius
1:00 pm: GW vs. Army
3:00 pm: UMBC vs. Canisius
Sunday, March 2
9:00 am: Canisius vs. Army
11:00 am: GW vs. UMBC
1:00 pm: Championship Game
3:00 pm: Consolation Game
