Softball Announces Four-Day Clinic Series

WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington softball program has announced a series of (4) four-hour clinics that will cover all phases of the game starting on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 9:00 am at the Mount Vernon Softball Complex. The Mount Vernon Softball Field is located at 2100 Foxhall Rd., NW.
Other dates are scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 20, Jan. 27 and Feb. 17.

The Colonials open their 2008 season when they travel to Chapel Hill, NC at the 2008 Carolina Classic hosted by NCAA Tournament qualifier North Carolina from February 8-10. GW will open the classic with Kent State, who were featured on ESPN.com as a `sleeper' team on the national stage. The Colonials also will take on the host Tar Heels, East Carolina and North Carolina Central at the three-day tournament.
GW's home opener is scheduled for Wed., Feb. 27 against Towson in a 2:00 pm doubleheader.
