PHILADELPHIA, PA -- George Washington's Brendan Barrack (Toronto, Canada/Crenshaw) has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Co-Rookie of the Week for men's golf, the league office announced Monday. It marks his third weekly honor this season. He also won the award on Sept. 10 following his collegiate debut and again on Oct. 1. He shares this week's award with St. Bonaventure's Chris Stoddard.
Barrack fired a 157 (79-78) to tie for 46th place in the 82-player field of the Big 5 Classic, Saturday and Sunday, at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. His effort helped the Colonials to a fifth-place tie in the 15-team field at the par-71, 6,867-yard Philadelphia Cricket Club in Flourtown, PA, near Philadelphia.
Barrack's 75.8 stroke average is fourth-best on the team.
The Colonials next compete in the 36-hole Sea Scape Collegiate hosted by Old Dominion, Oct. 29-30, at Kitty Hawk, NC.
