First-team all-conference performer Tara Boothe netted 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead W#2 Xavier to a 69-46 triumph over E#3 Massachusetts in the quarterfinals of the 2005 Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship. The Musketeers will meet top-seeded Temple at 2:00 p.m. in the semifinals of the tournament on Sunday, March 6.

Xavier took control of the contest with a 13-2 run over the final 5:11 of the first half to own a 37-23 margin at the break. Massachusetts never recovered and the Musketeers rolled to the victory.

Xavier connected on 8-of-23 three-pointers (.348), while the Minutewomen hit just 2-of-13 from behind the arc (.154). The Musketeers also owned a 43-31 margin in the rebound column and had 11 steals.

Tamara Tatham paced the Minutewomen with 14 points.
