Volleyball Bounces La Salle, 3-0

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The George Washington Volleyball team bounced back from a loss at Temple Friday by sweeping La Salle, 30-18, 30-22, 30-21 Saturday in Philadelphia. GW senior Sarah Hokom led all players with 18 kills, including her 1,000th career kill with her third kill of the match.
La Salle (8-17, 0-7 A-10) was led by Lauren Wood's 13 kills and Caitlin DeJong's 30 digs in the one-hour, 27-minute match.
GW hit .209 (49-17-153) while the Explorers managed to hit .060 (35-26-150). Senior Ruth Lazzari had 12 kills and 13 digs while junior Katie Downey hit .385 with six kills in 13 attacks while committing just one error.
GW improved to 16-4, 5-2 in the Atlantic 10 Conference and will host George Mason Tuesday in a break from conference play at 7 p.m.
