Lacrosse's Mayer Garners Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week

WASHINGTON, DC (March 25, 2002) - Women's lacrosse player Heidi Mayer (Havertown, PA/Havertown) was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week after scoring seven goals last week over three games.
Versus Richmond on March 19, Mayer scored two goals of GW's five scores on the day. Mayer added two more goals against Le Moyne on March 23, in a 10-9 GW victory. GW faced Colgate on March 24 and Mayer added another three scores, to bring her total to seven for the week. Mayer is second on the team in total points with 13 goals and three assists through six games.
