Golf Places Eighth at Lehigh Stabler Invitational

CENTER VALLEY, PA (Oct. 14) - For the fourth straight tournament, GW's Thomas Blankvoort (Curacao, Netherlands) was the low Colonial with a six-over-par 150 (74-76) to finish tied for 14th in the 36-hole Lehigh Stabler Invitational. GW finished eighth in the 20-team field at the par-72, 6,500-yard Center Valley Golf Club in Center Valley, PA. Host Lehigh won the tournament with a team total of 583 followed by four teams (Pennsylvania, Princeton, St. Bonaventure and Temple) each with 595.
Junior Michael Ball (Potomac, MD) was the second-lowest Colonial-just one stroke behind Blankvoort-as he tied for 20th with a two-round total 151 (77-74).
Lehigh's Bowen Osborn won the tournament with a five-under-par 139 (69-70).

GW next competes in the 54-hole East Carolina Intercollegiate Invitational, Oct. 22-23, at Bradford Creek Golf Club in Greenville, NC. The Colonials close out the fall season at the Old Dominion SeaScape Intercollegiate, Oct. 29-30, at Kitty Hawk, NC.
