Volleyball Adds Two Recruits for 2000

Harrison, a 5-11 outside hitter from West Hills, CA, is a three-year varsity letterwinner at Calabasas High where she earned co-MVP honors as a senior in 1999. Harrison also played for Zuma Bay and Sport Shack club teams and is currently playing for Santa Monica Beach Club. Santa Monica placed sixth at the Davis Festival in 99.
Hokom, a 5-10 outside hitter from Caldwell, ID, was a two-time team MVP and was the conference Player of the Year in 1999. She was the team captain her junior and senior seasons and was named All-Conference as a junior in '98. She played for Club Idaho and was a three-sport athlete at Caldwell H.S. competing for the volleyball, basketball and track teams.
GW, which posted an 18-11 overall record (12-8 A-10) in 1999, returns five starters including past all-conference selections Tracee Brown, Jill Levey and Julie Jahnke. The Colonials open the 2000 season September 1-2 in the Navy/GW Chesapeake Invitational co-hosted by GW and the U.S. Naval Academy. The Colonials will host matches against Howard, Manhattan, Robert Morris and Wagner.
