Volleyball Drops UMass, 3-0

AMHERST, MA (Oct. 28) - The GW volleyball team won its fifth straight match Saturday by defeating Massachusetts, 15-13, 15-8, 15-12, at Amherst, MA. It marked the fourth straight sweep of an A-10 opponent for the Colonials who have won 18 of their last 20 games.
Senior Tracee Brown again led GW (19-4, 10-1 A-10) with a match-high 24 kills while teammate while Julie Jahnke double-doubled with 13 kills and 10 digs.
Rebecca Hasson led the Minutewomen (11-12, 7-6) with nine kills and 14 digs. UMass junior Janeen DeMarte added 12 digs.
The victory sets the stage for the much-anticipated rematch with Temple this Tuesday, Oct. 31. GW's only A-10 loss was to the Owls in five games back on Sept. 20 at Smith Center.
