"Doug and Kevin are both excellent students and both exemplify the traits necessary to be a successful student/athlete at the collegiate level," said head coach Van Hoffman. "Kevin had a serious eye injury this fall, and I'm proud of the way he overcame the injury to still be successful in the classroom. I'm very proud of both of them for their accomplishments this year in the classroom as well as in the pool."
George Washington posted an 18-13 record last fall, 3-4 in the Collegiate Water Polo Association. The Colonials were ranked as high as No. 20 during the season.
