Volleyball Falls to Rhode Island, 3-0

The Colonials, which entered the final weekend in fourth place, lost 6-15, 5-15, 11-15, to the third-place Rams despite 14 kills from Gabriela Mojska and 11 kills from Julie Jahnke.
The Rams out-hit, out-blocked and out-served GW to dominate the one-hour, 18-minute match. Rhode Island hit .299 as a team compared to .162 for the Colonials while posting 10 more kills and six more blocks than GW. URI also served seven aces to none for the visiting Colonials.
GW swept URI, 3-0 earlier this season in Washington, DC.
URI (17-8, 12-5 A-10) was led by Nicole Noya's 14 kills and Julie Schlect's 12 digs.
GW (15-10, 10-7 A-10) will play its final match of the regular season at Massachusetts Saturday in Amherst, MA.
