KITTY HAWK, NC (October 26) - Sophomore Thomas Blankvoort fired a 10-over- par 154 (82-72) to tie for 55th in the 36-hole ODU/SeaScape Collegiate golf tournament Monday and Tuesday at the par-72, 6,469-yard SeaScape Golf Course on the outer banks of North Carolina. As a team, the Colonials placed 18th in the 19-team field with a team total of 634.
Bryan Derdenger was the next lowest Colonial four strokes behind Blankvoort at 158 (80-78) placing him in a tie for 69th among 96 individuals.
Elon College won the team title with a 578. The Fighting Christians were 11 strokes ahead of runners-up UNC Wilmington and host Old Dominion, each of whom totaled 589s.
