Volleyball Sweeps Fordham, 3-0

WASHINGTON, DC (October 22, 1999) - George Washington overpowered visiting Fordham, 15-8, 15-2, 15-8, on the strength of Gabriela Mojska's match-high 14 kills and 10 kills from junior Julie Jahnke Friday at Smith Center. The match took just 58 minutes to decide.
GW setter Jill Levey added a match-high 14 digs and 30 assists to register the Colonials' lone double-double of the match.
As a team, GW hit .333 with 49 kills and 15 errors in 102 attempts compared to .039 for Fordham (21-17-103).
Fordham's Cindy Vojtech and Tihana Sarlija led the Rams with seven kills each while Kelly Hierlmeier added nine digs. The Rams dropped to 4-17, 1-9 A-10.
GW (11-7, 6-4 A-10) hosts Duquesne Saturday at Smith Center while Fordham travels to Virginia Tech Saturday.
The Dukes (9-13, 3-7) are coming off a 3-1 victory over Virginia Tech Friday in Blacksburg.
