Lauren Benedict joined GW in August 2024 as the Director of Operations and was elevated to Assistant Coach in August 2025. She is currently responsible for providing coordination and logistical support for the rowing team and is currently enrolled in the Masters of Forensic Psychology program at GW and working towards her American Sign Language Interpreter certification.
Benedict recently graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Cognitive Science, where she rowed for four years. Benedict was awarded the UVA rowing team MVP twice and represented the USA at the U-23 World Rowing Championship in both 2022 and 2023. Lauren brings a unique balance of academic and athletic passions to bear in all she does.
