Jacob Reed is in his third year as GW's Assistant Director of Athletics Communication.
In his role, Reed serves as the primary communication contact for women’s basketball, women’s soccer, baseball and tennis. Reed initially arrived in Foggy Bottom as an Athletic Communication Specialist and was elevated to the Assistant Director role in October of 2023. Along with his current sport assignments, Reed also previously worked with GW volleyball, gymnastics, track and cross country.
Reed landed in Foggy Bottom after previously serving as the Assistant Director of Athletics Communication at Muskingum University for two years. While at Muskingum, he worked as a media contact for the Muskies’ 25 varsity athletic programs.
Reed graduated from Muskingum in 2021 with a degree in Athletics Communication and Sport Administration, and also earned his Master’s of Education from Muskingum in 2023. Reed’s résumé also includes a three-year stint working in Minor League Baseball and multiple internships with the NCAA and NFL.
