The Buff & Blue Fund Challenge
Two Divisions. Two top prizes. $25,000 in prizes available for our varsity athletic teams.
The 2019 Buff & Blue Fund Challenge calls on all athletics alumni to give back to GW Athletics to help our student-athletes compete at the highest levels. To increase your team's chances of winning, spread the word and get more alumni from your sport to make a gift.
Thanks to the generous support of GW Athletics Advisory Council Chair Michelle Rubin, ESIA '91, the following prizes are up for grabs:
- First place secures $7,000 toward your sport and goes to the team in each division with the highest alumni participation rate.
- Second place secures $3,000 for your team and is awarded to the sport with the second-highest alumni participation rate.
- The Most Improved Team secures $2,500 for their sport and is awarded to the team with the most improved participation rate from last year.
As always, teams can climb the rankings with the highest percentage of team alumni making a gift to support GW Athletics. The Challenge ends on May 10, so don’t wait to support your team. When you make a gift, be sure to encourage your teammates to participate on social media by tagging your sport and using #BBFChallenge.
