GW Gymnastics Places Seven on All-EAGL Teams

GW gymnastics placed seven student-athletes on All-EAGL teams, the East Atlantic Gymnastics League announced Monday ahead of Saturday's championship meet.
First Team All-EAGL selections on each event and in the all-around consist of the top eight ranked gymnasts from the 11-week regular season. Second Team All-EAGL honors are awarded to gymnasts ranked No. 9 through No. 16.
George Washington's Deana Sheremeta, Lola Montevago and Aspen Tucker headlined the list of First Team selections. Sheremeta earned First Team accolades on bars, beam, floor and all-around. The senior previously earned First Team honors on beam and floor a year ago, along with Second Team recognition on bars.
Montevago, a sophomore, repeated as a First Team honoree on bars and beam and added recognition on vault and in the all-around during her sophomore campaign.
Tucker, a first-year, collected the first All-EAGL award of her career with First Team recognition in the all-around.

Senior Catherine O'Rourke picked up her first All-EAGL award with a Second Team honor on floor after serving as a mainstay in the lineup throughout her senior season. First-year Alison Mun rounded out the list of honorees for the Revolutionaries with a Second Team selection on vault.
George Washington's seven All-EAGL honorees will lead the Buff & Blue into the EAGL Championship this Saturday at 5 p.m. in Brookville, N.Y.
