ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The George Washington tennis team suffered a 7-0 defeat to Navy on Sunday afternoon, dropping the Revolutionaries to 3-5 on the season.
The doubles pair of Madison Lee and Karen Verduzco tallied GW's lone win of the day, a 6-4 victory in the first flight. The pairing is now 5-3 on the season, with all five wins coming in first doubles. First-years Alexandra Lindqvist and Devika Manu put up a good fight in third doubles, falling by a score of 6-4.
George Washington returns to action Wednesday, hosting Georgetown at 11:00 a.m. at the Southeast Tennis & Learning Center.
