George Washington's Deana Sheremeta and Aspen Tucker have been selected by EAGL for weekly awards following career-high performances at GW's Rip Current Awareness Meet. Sheremeta has been tabbed as the EAGL Gymnast of the Week and Aspen Tucker as the EAGL Rookie of the Week, as announced on Wednesday morning.

Sheremeta continued her stellar senior season on Sunday, earning a personal-best 9.850 on bars to propel her to the all-around competition win with a career-high 39.225. The senior also won the floor competition with a 9.900, and currently leads the EAGL on floor, per NQS scores. Sheremeta is honored as the Gymnast of the Week alongside Towson's Isabella Minervini.

First-year Aspen Tucker collects the EAGL's Rookie of the Week after competing all-around for the Buff & Blue and finishing with a career-best 38.750. In her all-around performance, Tucker set two PRs on both the beam (9.750) and on floor (9.825).

Sheremeta, Tucker and the Revolutionaries are back in action this Friday at 7 p.m. as they face off with NC State, New Hampshire and Yale in a quad meet live from Raleigh, N.C. on ACCNX.
