WASHINGTON – The George Washington tennis team looks to finish the season on a high note, traveling to Richmond on Saturday for the team's regular-season finale. Match time is slated for 12:00 p.m. at the Westhampton Tennis Complex.
GW celebrated senior day last Friday, hosting Davidson at SETLC for the team's final home match of 2025. Prior to the start of the contest, Alejandra Ramirez was joined on the court by her family, friends and teammates in a ceremony celebrating her four-year collegiate career. Ramirez, GW's lone senior on the 2025 roster, has accumulated a career-best 14 total wins this season. Eight of those have come in doubles action with teammate Solange Skeene. They hold an 8-4 record as a duo, the best on the team.
Richmond enters the final week of the regular season riding a seven-match winning streak. The Spiders are 4-2 in conference action this season and have wins over Davidson, VCU, Duquesne and George Mason over the team's unbeaten run. UMass and Fordham are the two A-10 schools to hand Richmond a loss this year, with the defeat to the Minutewomen coming in a close 4-3 contest.
Following the end of the regular season, the Revolutionaries will travel to Orlando, Fla., to compete in the Atlantic 10 Championship from April 24-27. Final seedings and first-round matchups are expected to be announced on Sunday. Follow GWsports.com for the news and results as GW eyes a postseason run.
