Tennis Slips in Road Match at Saint Francis (PA)

EDENSBURG, Pa. – The George Washington tennis team fell in its penultimate nonconference match of the season, slipping, 5-2, to Saint Francis on Saturday.
GW's two points came in singles action, with Madison Lee and Solange Skeene picking up victories in their respective matches. Lee tallied her win in the third flight, a hard-fought 6-7, 6-3, 6-4 win. Skeene's was also a three-set match, a 6-1, 4-6, 10-7 victory in fifth singles. Skeene improves to 8-4 in singles action this season, while Lee moves to an even 6-6.
Despite dropping the doubles point, the pair of Skeene and Alejandra Ramirez were victorious in the third flight. The duo dominated the Red Flash, 6-0, for their seventh doubles win of the season. However, Saint Francis tallied wins in first and second doubles to secure the decision.
