Gymnastics Places 14 on All-EAGL Scholastic Team

Weirton, W.Va. -Â GW gymnastics has placed 14 student-athletes on the All-EAGL Scholastic Team, the conference office announced on Friday morning. To qualify for the honor, a gymnast must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above throughout the 2024 calendar year. First-year gymnasts were eligible for the nomination based on 2024 fall semester grades.
Seniors Rachel Katz, Nancy Kiner and Marlee York headlined the list for the Buff & Blue, with each collecting their fourth-consecutive honor, while graduate student Kendall Whitman was honored for the second time.
The entire junior class, Kasey Burke, Catherine O'Rourke, Kylie Kazmierski and Deana Sheremeta, each received recognition for the third time in as many years. From the sophomore class, Delaney DeHaan, Brooke Izzo and Maya Peters were named to the list for the second time in their GW careers. Three first-years were recognized for the first-time: Zoe Safran, Haley Suzuki and Natalie Thomas.Â
