Swimming & Diving Reaches Podium in Every Event; Begins Title Run for A-10 Championships Wednesday

Olivia Paquette breaks school record in the 1-meter dive
HAMPTON, VA - The George Washington University men's and women's swimming and diving teams got out to a flying start at the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championships on Wednesday afternoon. The Revolutionaries medaled in all five events to kick-start their attempt for another A-10 Championship sweep.Â
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

The GW program record in the 1-meter dive went by the wayside on Wednesday when Olivia Paquette won gold (288.35). Paquette has now won back-to-back A-10 gold medals in the event.Â

The 800-yard free relay, swam by Colleen MacWilliams, Molly Smyers, Taylor Bernosky and Ava Topolewski, raced to victory (7:15.48) to earn full points for the Buff & Blue.Â

The Revolutionaries nabbed silver in the 200-yard medley relay (1:39.70), in a race swam by Marlee Rickert, Moriah Freitas, Chloe Hernandez and Natalie Sens.Â
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

GW's 200-yard medley relay won gold to bring home the first men's victory of the meet (1:25.99). The race was swam by Ganesh Sivaramakrishnan, Preston Lin, Daniel Nagy and Elliott Irwin.Â

The final race of the day resulted in a GW bronze medal (6:29.26) as Gage Boushee, Daniel Nagy, Philip Moldovanu and Justin Dostal tapped in third in the 800-yard free relay.Â

The Revolutionaries are back in the water tomorrow for day two of the A-10 Championships. Prelims begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by finals at 6:00 p.m. Catch all the action on day two on ESPN+.
