Rachel Katz Earns EAGL Co-Specialist of the Week

Weirton, W. Va. - Senior co-captain Rachel Katz has earned Co-Specialist of the Week, the EAGL office announced Wednesday morning.

Katz has been a stalwart for GW through its first two meets of 2025, competing this past weekend on both vault and bars for the GW Revs. Katz co-championed the vault, alongside teammate Delaney DeHaan, with a score of 9.850, while also earning a 9.775 on the uneven bars rotation.

Katz has been selected as an All-EAGL gymnast on both vault and bars in her tenure with the Buff & Blue, collecting First-Team honors on vault in both 2022 and 2024, and earning a spot on Second Team All-EAGL in 2023. In 2024, Katz was slotted on Second Team All-EAGL on bars for the first time in her career.

The GW Revs will compete for the first time at home in 2025 this Sunday, January 26th, at the annual Lindsey Ferris Invitational. Yale, Fisk and Penn will all travel to the Smith Center for a 1 p.m. meet.
