Women’s Soccer Adds Match at NC State

WASHINGTON – After seeing its match against Bucknell canceled last week due to inclement weather, the George Washington women's soccer team has added a contest against NC State on Sunday, Sept. 15. The match is set for 12:00 p.m. at Dell Soccer Stadium in Raleigh, N.C.
GW and the Bison had completed 34 minutes of action last Thursday before lightning in the area forced the game to be called. In a similar situation, NC State had its Sept. 1 match against Colorado axed due to ongoing inclement weather in the Raleigh area.
The match comes during GW's "off-week" which was a built-in buffer between the end of non-conference action and the beginning of Atlantic 10 play on Sept. 19 against St. Bonaventure. Broadcast information for the match against the Wolfpack will be announced at a later date.
GW's nonconference slate rolls on with two matches later this week. The Buff & Blue travel across The District for a 7:00 p.m. battle with Howard on Thursday night, then host Drexel on Sunday for a 1:00 p.m. match.
