DAVIDSON, N.C. – Behind goals from Kate McGrath and Kathleen Ngulefac, the George Washington women's soccer team captured a 2-1 win at Davidson on Thursday night. The victory is GW's second in Atlantic 10 play, moving the team to 5-8-4 overall and 2-6-1 in conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED

21^st Minute: GW captured the early lead off the foot of McGrath, registering her third goal of the season off an assist from Kalia Kau. McGrath now has two goals in as many matches after tallying GW's lone score last Sunday at Richmond.
56^th Minute: 11 minutes into the second half, the Revolutionaries doubled their lead as Kau picked up her second assist of the night, dishing a pass off to Ngulefac for the score. Ngulefac also tallied her third goal of the season, tying McGrath and Lizzy Cruz for the team lead.
66^th Minute: Davidson's Dakota Lyons cut GW's lead in half with her sixth goal of 2025. Assisting on the play was SJ Pak, but it wasn't enough to mount a second-half comeback.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

The victory marks GW's first road victory at Davidson since the 2021 spring season and GW's second road A-10 win of the year.
The Wildcats outshot GW, 15-13, but the Buff & Blue finished with a 7-5 edge in shots on goal.
Jasmine Black earned the start in goal, recording four saves for GW. She's up to 17 saves in her first-year season.
Cruz led the GW offense with three, all of which were on goal, while Naomi Kim finished with three shots herself.
Both teams finished with five corner kicks apiece.
