WASHINGTON - Riding the momentum from a record-breaking performance at the A-10 Championships, the George Washington diving teams have qualified six student-athletes for the NCAA Diving Zone A Championship. GW will send Ben Bradley, Olivia Paquette, Dara Reyblat, Olivia Rosen, Holden Wheeler and Michael Wood to Princeton's DeNunzio Pool, the site of the 2024 Zone A Championships, where they will compete on March 11-13 for invitations to the NCAA Championships. Competition will begin at 12 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday and 11 a.m. on Wednesday, and coverage of all three days will be available on ESPN+.
On the women's team, Paquette and Reyblat qualified for all three events (1-meter, 3-meter, platform), while Rosen qualified for the platform dive. Paquette is coming off a successful A-10 Championship meet, where she won both the 1-meter and 3-meter individual championships and broke the GW record in the 1-meter dive on her way to being named the A-10 Most Outstanding Female Diver. Reyblat is also coming off a pair of A-final performances at the A-10 Championships, including a third-place finish in the 1-meter dive. Rosen finished second at the A-10 Championships in the 1-meter B-final.
On the men's side, Bradley and Wood will compete in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives, while Wheeler will compete in the platform dive. Bradley was GW's highest finisher in both events at the A-10 Championships, taking second in the 3-meter dive and fifth in the 1-meter dive. Wood also made the A-final in both events at the conference meet, finishing the 3-meter in fifth place and the 1-meter in eighth place. Wheeler, though only competing in the platform dive at Zones, made the A-final at the A-10 Championships in the 3-meter dive and finished in seventh.
