Women's tennis made the short trip to Fairfax, Va., on Friday and was rewarded with its first win of the A-10 season.
Behind the efforts of the pair of Stella Wiesemann and Gabriela Girado (6-1) and Madison Lee and Victoria Sasinka (6-4), who defeated their Patriot foes to earn the early doubles point, Wiesemann (6-3, 6-2), Sasinka (6-1, 6-3) and Alejandra Ramirez (6-0, 6-0) then cruised into singles play sweeping their counterparts on the road.
Giraldo, Lee and Solange Skeene were all well on their way to wins when GW clinched the match.
Up next for the GW Revs is a 10 a.m. date with Sam Houston St. tomorrow morning at Liberty.
