Hammon Named Women's Rowing Director of Operations

WASHINGTON -Â GW women's rowing has hired Craig Hammon as its new Director of Operations, head coach Paul Allbright announced on Wednesday.
Hammon joins the Buff & Blue after coaching with Central Ohio Rowing since 2019. He served as a volunteer assistant coach from 2019-2022 before becoming the novice men's coach in August 2022.
A graduate of Drexel University, Hammon earned his Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies with a minor in criminal justice while earning Summa Cum Laude honors and graduating in 3.5 years. Hammon was a member of the Drexel Men's Varsity Rowing team from 2019-2021.Â
Prior to his collegiate career, he attended Saint Charles Preparatory School in Bexley, Ohio where he served as rowing team captain from 2017-19 and placed fourth at the 2019 USRowing Youth National Championships.
Since graduation, Hammon has served as a legislative fellow for the Ohio Legislative Service Commission, supporting members of the 135th General Assembly Majority Caucus Leadership team in various capacities.
