Coach's Comments:
"I'm extremely excited to have such a strong player like Vaida join our team for Fall 24! Vaida brings so many quality attributes to GW and the tennis program. First of all her kind and personable personality off the court is one of qualities that really stood out immediately. You add her on court attributes of passion, determination, grit and will to win when she steps on the court and you have a player that has an unlimited ceiling in college tennis. Vaida comes in as an extremely strong player. She's aggressive from the baseline and really understands how to develop points according to her strengths. She's not afraid to put pressure on her opponents and win points at the net. Vaida will be one to watch as she will be a tough player to beat and have big success in our conference."
Vaida on her decision to come to GW:
"George Washington University stood out to me due to its remarkable combination of great academic standards and an impressive tennis program. I'm confident that the education I'll receive at GWU, being one of the top schools in the country, will be of the highest caliber, and will later help me with my ambitions to become a sport medicine doctor. On top of that, I will be able to combine the academics with my tennis ambition. GWU also has an excellent tennis team, where I am confident that I will receive top-quality training and excellent support from the coaching staff. Furthermore, the prime location in Washington D.C. will provide a blend of rich history and vibrant opportunities, making my college experience even more valuable."
Vaida comes to GW from Stockholm, Sweden. Some of her notable titles include:
