Buff & Blue look for strong final day at Big Al on Sunday
PRINCETON, N.J. -Â Another GW program record went by the wayside on Saturday afternoon as the George Washington University men's and women's swimming & diving teams capped the second day at the Princeton Big Al Invitational.Â
​​​​​MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

The men's 200-yard medley relay, composed of Ganesh Sivaramakrishnan, Preston Lin, Daniel Nagy and Elliott Irwin, tapped in second fastest (1:26.41) to open the men's portion of the evening.Â

Elliott Irwin claimed second place in the 100-yard butterfly (TIME), after finishing first in prelims with an NCAA B-cut time (46.26).Â

Holden Thomas (46.96) and Ganesh Sivaramakrishnan (47.18) finished in second and third place, respectively, in the 100-yard backstroke; both are NCAA B-cut times. It is the third B-cut time set by Sivaramakrishnan in the 100-yard backstroke this meet, with his best time being 46.16 set in the opening leg of yesterday's 400-yard medley relay.Â
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Olivia Paquette broke the GW program record on the one meter board (288.05), earning a victory in the event and completing a sweep of the spring boards. Paquette will dive platform tomorrow looking for a clean sweep of all diving events.Â

The women's 200-yard medley relay opened up the evening session with a third-place swim (1:40.46), swam by Marlee Rickert, Natalie Sens, Moriah Freitas and Chloe Hernandez.Â
