Indoor Track Opens at Fastrack Invitational

WASHINGTON - Under the guidance of Head Coach Terry Weir, the GW women's track team will kick off its indoor season this Friday, December 6th in the Fastrack Season Opener held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.
LAST TIME OUT
Last indoor track season, the GW women shattered six school records. Rachel Horowitz earned a time of 7.86 in the 60m dash and a time of 39.94 in the 300m dash in last season's opening meet. In the BU Valentine Invitational, Horowitz also earned new school bests in both the 200m dash (25.20) and 400m dash (57.13). Horowitz continued to achieve success in the Father Diamond Invitational, shattering the record in the 500m dash, clocking in at 1:17.90. In last year's A-10 Championships, the 4x400m relay team consisting of Kamryn Holness, Horowitz, Alexia Massoud and Rita Mazumder achieved a new GW best of 3:58.16. Sarah Mitchell also concluded last year's indoor campaign with All-Conference recognition in the 3000m event, her second career recognition from the conference in track.

The GW Revs will have entries in nine events on Friday beginning at 1 p.m. The full lineup for the Buff & Blue is as follows:
