WASHINGTON - The Atlantic 10 Conference released its end-of-season awards on Wednesday, naming GW's Louis Crofts to the All-Rookie team and Will Turner to the Academic All-Conference team.
From Shrewsbury, England, Crofts came to GW and excelled in his first season of college soccer. Crofts played a valuable role in GW's attack and finished the season as the Buff & Blue's leading scorer and point collector with five goals and 10 points, while also pacing the Revolutionaries with 33 shots and 15 shots on goal. The forward started 10 games, appearing in five other matches off the bench, totaling 905 minutes on the field. Crofts is the first member of GW men's soccer to earn All-Rookie accolades since Liam Emson in 2019.
Turner, a graduate transfer who hails from Nashville, earned the Academic All-Conference recognition after another impactful season in GW's midfield. Turner led the Revolutionaries with three assists and finished second on the team with three goals and nine points. He started and appeared in 16 of GW's 17 matches, playing the second-most minutes with 1,308 minutes on the field. The International Affairs major excelled on the field and in the classroom, and his selection marks the 12th consecutive season that GW men's soccer has placed at least one student-athlete on the A-10 Academic All-Conference team.
