Baseball Announces 2024 Schedule

WASHINGTON – Head coach Gregg Ritchie and the George Washington baseball team have announced its 2024 schedule. GW's slate consists of 56 games including 31 played within the friendly confines of Barcroft Park. The Buff & Blue will compete in 32 non-conference contests and 24 A-10 matchups. Twenty of GW's 31 home contests will be carried live on ESPN+.
The Buff & Blue open the 2024 season on the road, traveling to Old Dominion for a three-game series starting on Friday, Feb. 16. First pitch on opening day is set for 4:00 p.m., in Norfolk, Va.
GW's home opener comes the following week as the Buff & Blue welcome Bryant to the DMV for a three-game set. The series opens on Friday, Feb. 23, with a 2:30 p.m. first pitch and will conclude on Sunday, Feb. 25. In total, GW will host eight weekend series throughout the season including four against A-10 opponents.
Ritchie and the Revolutionaries open A-10 play at home on Friday, March 29, against St. Bonaventure. The three-game set against the Bonnies is part of a seven-game homestand that includes a home matchup with Virginia on March 6 and spans from March 22 – April 3. The Buff & Blue will only have one other homestand longer, a nine-game set from March 1-12, all against non-conference opponents.
Along with St. Bonaventure, GW will also host Rhode Island (April 19-21), Saint Louis (April 26-28) and Massachusetts (May 8-10) in conference action. The Revolutionaries will also make trips to A-10 foes George Mason (April 5-7), Richmond (April 12-14), VCU (May 3-5) and Saint Joseph's (May 16-18).
The 2024 Atlantic 10 Championship is scheduled for May 21-25 at Capital One Park in Tysons, Va.
