Gymnastics Announces 2023-24 Captains

WASHINGTON – Payton Lynch, Anneliese Silverman and Kendall Whitman have been voted to serve as team captains for the 2023-24 GW gymnastics season, Head Coach Margie Foster-Cunningham has announced.
The senior trio will lead a team that features 10 additional returning gymnasts and four newcomers.
Whitman co-leads the team after advancing to last year's NCAA Denver Regional as an individual qualifier on floor. Whitman also received All-EAGL First Team honors on vault and floor and Second Team recognition on beam.
Silverman earned All-EAGL Second Team recognition on beam with a 9.825 NQS. The Basking Ridge, N.J., native competed on bars and beam in all 14 meets in 2023, scoring a 9.750 or better on bars in six meets and a 9.800 or higher in six beam routines.
Lynch was GW's consistent starter on floor, competing in 13 meets and earning a season-high 9.825 at GW's Senior Day on March 10. Lynch posted four scores of 9.800 or better on floor and was also named to the All-EAGL Scholastic Team.
