Outdoor Track Primed for A-10 Championships This Weekend

Buff & Blue look to make their mark at the conference meet

WASHINGTON - GW outdoor track is set to compete at the Atlantic 10 Championships at the University of Massachusetts this weekend. The competition spans Saturday and Sunday at the UMass Track Complex.

The men's team enters the conference meet having set six new school records this season, most recently with the Distance Medley Relay team of Michale Bohlke, Jacob Heredia, Pat Castellano and Ryan Fowkes shattering the previous time by 13 seconds. Fowkes owns a pair of individual records in the 800m and 1500m while Thomas Sand has etched his name with the fastest 5000m and 10000m in program history.

In sprints, Miles Grant has set the new mark to beat in the 100m as has his women's teammate Emma Benzinger last month. Benzinger was also a part of the school-record 4x400m relay team in April, joined by Marcella Mancini, Ritz Mazumder and Sarah Mitchell.
