Women’s Tennis Tops St. Bonaventure in First Round of Atlantic 10 Championship

ORLANDO – GW women's tennis blanked St. Bonaventure, 4-0, in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Championship on Thursday at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla. The fifth-seeded Buff & Blue will meet No. 4 Richmond on Friday at 9 a.m., with the winner advancing to this year's semifinals.
GW won at the first and third doubles flights to stake a 1-0 lead. Stella Wiesemann, Sarah Bodewes and Lindsay Thompson each topped their respective singles opponents in straight sets to earn the 4-0 victory and first postseason win for Head Coach George Rodriguez.
