Women's Rowing Opens Spring Season at George's Cup

Buff & Blue to take on George Mason, Georgetown
WASHINGTON - GW women's rowing is set to begin its chase for an A-10 Championship with its first competition of the spring this Sunday at the George's Cup, held in Fairfax Station, Va. The Colonials will square off with George Mason and Georgetown in the annual event.
HISTORY OF THE GEORGE'S CUP:Â Contested annually since 2011, the George's Cup is the yearly battle between George Mason, GW and Georgetown. Hosted by Sandy Run Regional Park, the Buff & Blue have finished second the last three seasons. Last year, GW finished second in three of the four events, coming out on top in the 2V8.
