Outdoor Tracks Opens Season at Fred Harvey Invitational

Buff & Blue compete at Richmond on Friday
WASHINGTON - GW outdoor track is set to start its campaign on Friday at the Fred Harvey Invitational, hosted by Richmond. Live coverage will be available on ESPN+.
GW's women's program is coming off a pair of school records at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championship last month. The distance medley relay team of Sarah Mitchell, Marcella Mancini, Lexi Seifert and Yukino Parle placed third with a time of 11:46.17 to set the new school mark. Earlier in the meet, Emma Benzinger did the same with a time of 8.19 in the 60m.
The men's program registered a third-place finish at the A-10 cross country championships in the fall, the team's highest finish since 2017. Michael Bohlke and Ryan Fowkes earned All-Conference honors with Fowkes registering a new GW record in the 5 mile.
