GW to play George Mason and Buffalo at neutral site

WASHINGTON – GW women's tennis will visit Van Der Meer Tennis Center in Hilton Head, S.C., for a pair of matches this week. The Buff & Blue will play George Mason on Tuesday at 9 a.m., followed by Buffalo on Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Gabriela Giraldo picked up her team-leading seventh singles win of the season in GW's 6-1 loss to Delaware on Sunday. All seven of Giraldo's wins have come at the No. 2 flight. Alongside Giraldo is doubles partner Stella Wiesemann. The pair leads GW with six doubles wins this season, all at the No. 1 spot.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION
Atlantic 10 foe George Mason is 4-2 overall and led by graduate student Taylor Garcia with nine singles wins at the No. 2 spot for the Patriots.

Mariana Carvajal Torres was recently named the Mid-American Conference Singles Player of the Week after leading the Bulls with three singles wins in their three wins last weekend. Buffalo has won five-straight matches and is 12-3 overall.
