Six Gymnasts Named to All-EAGL Teams

Chambliss earns three first-team honors for second-straight year
Six George Washington gymnasts were selected to All-East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Teams, the league announced on Monday.
Graduate student and co-captain Deja Chambliss earned three honors for the second straight season, being named to the All-EAGL First Team on vault (9.890 NQS), All-EAGL Second Team on beam (9.850 NQS), All-EAGL First Team on floor (9.905) and All-EAGL First Team in the All Around (39.345 NQS). Chambliss' recognition on vault comes after she finished first in the league on the event for the second straight season.
For the third straight season, Kendall Whitman has been named to an All-EAGL Team on vault, this year earning First Team honors with a 9.840 NQS. Whitman was also named to the All-EAGL Second Team on beam (9.820 NQS) and First Team on floor (9.915 NQS).
Rachel Katz and Sarah Zois each earned Second Team honors on vault with a 9.825 NQS and a 9.920 NQS, respectively. Zois was also named to the Second Team on beam with her 9.835 NQS.
Libby Garfoot earned First Team All-EAGL on bars with a 9.875 NQS and Anneliese Silverman was named to the All-EAGL Second Team on Beam (9.825 NQS).
GW will prepare for this year's EAGL Championship at New Hampshire on Saturday, March 18, at 1 p.m.
