Women’s Tennis Heads to Delaware on Sunday

WASHINGTON – GW women's tennis will visit Delaware on Sunday for a 3 p.m. start at the DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, Del.
LAST TIME OUT
GW looks to return to the win column after dropping a recent pair of matches to VCU (2-4) and Georgetown (2-5). Gabriela Giraldo and Stella Wiesemann went undefeated in the losses at the No. 1 doubles flight. In GW's setback at Georgetown, Giraldo and Alejandra Ramirez picked up a pair of singles wins for the Buff & Blue, topping their respective opponents in straight sets.
MATCHING UP WITH DELAWARE
The Blue Hens are 9-2 overall, with their two losses coming in late January. Adel-Byanu Abidullini and Eliza Askarova enter the weekend ranked fifth in the ITA National Doubles rankings. The duo is 19-1 on the year, with their lone loss coming vs. then-No. 2 North Carolina.
