GW faces its first A-10 foe Thursday
WASHINGTON – GW women's tennis will prepare for two matches over four days, visiting VCU on Thursday for a 2 p.m. start before heading back to the District to face Georgetown on Sunday at 11 a.m.
It'll be GW's first A-10 match of the spring season on Thursday, matching up with the Rams, who won the 2022 A-10 Championship.
LAST TIME OUT
Stella Wiesemann clinched her singles match to lift GW over Howard on Saturday, 4-3. GW won the doubles point and was helped to victory with a pair of singles wins from Alejandra Ramirez and Charlotte Bell. With the win, GW moved to 3-3-1 on the season.
A LOOK AT VCU
Despite their championship last season and a No. 1 preseason projection, the Rams have started the spring season 2-6 overall, with wins over Marshall and Norfolk State.
GEARING UP FOR GEORGETOWN
The Hoyas are 5-4 overall and 2-0 on home court. Georgetown will host Howard on Friday before welcoming GW on Sunday.
