Chambliss Named EAGL Gymnast of the Week for Second Time this Season

Graduate student earns pair of event titles at Towson to earn the honor
Deja Chambliss has been named the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Gymnast of the Week for the second time this season, the league announced on Wednesday.
Chambliss helped GW to a season-high on vault and beam at Towson on Sunday with a pair of 9.900s on the events, topping the podium on beam. The graduate student also won the all-around title with a 39.350, boosted by another 9.900 on floor.
In Friday's season-high 196.550, Chambliss recorded four event scores at or above the 9.825 mark, highlighted by a season-high 9.850 on beam. Chambliss finished third overall on vault with a 9.850.
GW heads to No. 6 LSU on Friday for a quad meet with No. 7 California and No. 23 Washington at the Raising Cane's River Center at 7 p.m. EST.
