Swimming and Diving Starts Strong at A-10 Championships

Buff and Blue set two A-10 records, take gold in three of four relays
GENEVA, OHIO - The Buff and Blue claimed a pair of new A-10 records as GW swimming and diving got off to a strong start at the A-10 Championships. After one day of competition, both the men and women are in first place with 80 and 136 points, respectively.
Men's Highlights:

Karol Mlynarczyk, Preston Lin, Djurdje Matic and Ganesh Sivaramakrishnan swiped the A-10 record in the 200-yard medley relay. The group took gold (1:25.69) and set a new A-10 and program record in the event.

The men followed-up its A-10 record with another gold-medal relay swim. Mlynarczyk, Daniel Nagy, Marek Osina and Connor Rodgers took first place (6:31.16) in the 800-yard freestyle relay and finished well over one second ahead of the second-place team.
Women's Highlights:

The women set a new A-10 and program record (7:12.19) in the 800-yard freestyle relay, smashing the previous conference record (7:15.00) by almost three seconds. Phoebe Wright, Siena Senn, Julia Knox and Molly Smyers combined for the record swim and earned GW full points in the process.

The lone diving event of the day was the women's one-meter dive. The Colonials occupied four of the eight spots in the A-final, while also sending one to the B-final. Veteran diver Jamie Doak went on to take second (271.80) in the event, followed by Dara Reyblat in third (270.40), Caitlin Inall in fourth (270.10) and Olivia Paquette in sixth (265.25).

Marlee Rickert, Ava DeAngelis, Barbara Schaal and Chloe Hernandez nabbed bronze (1:40.08) in the 200-yard medley relay.
