GW hits season-highs on three of four events
TOWSON, Md. – GW gymnastics built upon its success from its previous competition, posting a new season-high 195.550 at Towson on Wednesday in a second-place finish. The host Tigers recorded a 196.125 at SECU Arena.
GW earned its final tally with season-highs on vault (49.100), beam (48.975) and floor (49.075), and a 48.400 on bars.
Deja Chambliss earned her second-straight vault title with a 9.875 and also was named the all around champion with a 39.325. Sarah Zois placed first overall on beam with a 9.875, matching her career-high on the event.
Rachel Katz posted a career-high 9.800 on beam, tying for second overall alongside Anneliese Silverman and Chambliss.
Libby Garfoot tied her season-high on bars with a 9.875 to finish second overall. It's the third top-three finish in a row for Garfoot.
ROTATION ONE – BARS (48.400)
GW began its night on bars led by Garfoot's 9.875. Chambliss added a 9.750, Silverman posted a 9.700, Marlee York added a 9.575, while Madi McMullen recorded a 9.500 and Katz finished the bars lineup with a 9.125.
ROTATION TWO – VAULT (49.100)
Chambliss led GW on vault with a 9.875, Katz posted a 9.825, followed by 9.800s from Gabby Lopez in her GW debut, Kendall Whitman and Zois. York registered a 9.775.
ROTATION THREE – FLOOR (49.075)
Chambliss' 9.900 highlighted the floor lineup, while Whitman added a 9.875. York matched her career-high with a 9.850 and Silverman added a personal best 9.800. Deana Sheremeta and Kasey Burke rounded out the floor lineup with a 9.650 and a 9.600, respectively.
ROTATION FOUR – BEAM (48.975)
Zois led the beam lineup and Chambliss, Katz and Silverman each added 9.800s. Sheremeta scored a 9.700 and York concluded GW's night with a 9.575.

GW heads west for a quad meet at Denver on Sunday with Air Force and Pitt. March outs from Magness Arena are set for 4 p.m. EST.
