GW to open season on January 12 at Florida

TOWSON, Md. - In anticipation of the 2024 season, GW gymnastics was picked second in the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) preseason poll, it was announced on Wednesday.

The preseason poll is based on ranking projections given by the head coaches of the five EAGL schools.

GW amassed 18 points, including one first-place vote, but reigning EAGL Champions Towson collected 21 points and two first-place votes to secure the projected top seed of the conference.

UNH came in third place at 16 points with one first-place vote, with Temple finishing at 4th place with 12 points and one first-place vote and LIU in fifth place at eight points.

The Buff & Blue have 13 returners, including four 2023 All-EAGL honorees in Kendall Whitman, Anneliese Silverman, Rachel Katz and Sarah Zois. In addition, Head Coach Margie Foster-Cunningham announced the addition of four first-years this offseason.

GW will begin its 2024 campaign away at Florida on Friday, Jan. 12 at 7 p.m.
